ATMASTCO Limited, an emerging Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) company in India, is undertaking a transformative industrial engineering project at Vedanta–FACOR, Bhadrak, Odisha. The project involves the design, supply, installation and commissioning of a state-of-the-art 33 MVA Submerged Arc Furnace, aimed at enhancing ferrochrome production to 80,000 metric tonnes per annum.
Ferrochrome is a vital additive in manufacturing stainless steel and various specialty steels, making this project significant to the steel industry. Commencing on 15 February 2022, the project also encompasses the precise erection of 4,100 metric tonnes of structural steel, highlighting ATMASTCO’s capabilities in industrial design and engineering, heavy steel fabrication and EPC project execution.
